  • We had a very pleasant stay at Eden Roc. Claude came to the airport to welcome us and left a surprise on the last day. The villa itself is beautiful and comfortable. Actual view is even better than what pictures show. Staff (Ilo and Made) were very attentive and helpful. Amed is a pleasant place, not too busy with great diving (US Liberty ship wreck) and snorkeling (Japanese ship wreck) spots. We also visited the surroundings (Lempuyang, Water Palaces, Besakih, paddy fields). Our only comment is to regards with the catering part. We initially requested for a chef. Unfortunately, it was not possible and food deliveries from the nearby Blue Moon restaurant was proposed as a solution. Although food & prices were correct, we didn’t like this solution: It took them 2 hours to bring our order one night, and they refused to deliver at convenient time the other night. Hence we went for other solutions (Baliku, Sails, own cooking) but as Amed is isolated and quite spread over, it is not always easy logistics wise.

  • Claude was a fantastic host and very easy to get a hold of. The staff and security was excellent (especially Ilu!). The place is was not only immaculately clean but in a spectacular location. The pictures almost don’t do it justice. The snorkeling at the bottom of the property is superb and a quick swim around the corner is a sunken Japanese war ship covered in vibrant coral. Absolutely beautiful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Our trip to Amed was more than we could have imagined. The house is amazing. The outlook to the beach is beautiful and the location of the house makes it very private and the swimming pool makes it hard to leave. We stayed at the house for one week during August. A family of six with grandparents, adults and children. The house has everything you could imagine even a professional chef kitchen and an ice-cream machine. Air-conditioning in all the main rooms comfortable furniture and beds and overall a secret paradise to hide away in with no need to leave at all. MADE the house manager was fabulous and very humble and he also made a great tour guide. Use him for any questions about the area or where to go. He has a car and si happy to take you to visit any temples or sites you are interested in. The snorkelling around the house was world class and easily accessible by motorbikes which you can hire very cheaply. (…) Don’t forget to check out the Japanese shipwreck very close to the house on the right hand side of the bay. The beach to the right of the house is lovely for hunting for shells and treasures and a great place to watch the fisherman coming in with their catch of fish in the morning. It’s very hard to fault anything about the house, however while we were there we had very poor internet which could be seen as a positive. You can get a very good internet service down the road at the Blue Moon Restaurant (100 meters from the house. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family !
